We absolutely take every precaution and do everything we possibly can to avoid any damage to the items being moved! In the event that something does happen, we work with you to determine the cause and to get the situation resolved immediately, thereby reaching an agreeable settlement with you. In the event a settlement cannot be reached, an insurance claim can be filed as long as Pro Moves is paid in full for their services, as per insurance regulations.

Pro Moves includes basic moving insurance, which covers your items from the time we start to placement at your new location. Please note, our coverage is very basic and follows the California Public Utilities Commission’s standard of .60 cents per pound for damages. So what does that mean? For example, if your 40 pound table is damaged, we are required to reimburse you for $24 ($.60 x 40 pounds = $24).

Obviously this may not be enough insurance for some and we strongly recommend you get additional coverage from a third party insurer such as www.emoveinsurance.com or another of your choosing. It is very affordable, costing approximately 1-2% of your item’s value and is worth the peace of mind.

Please note, according to California Public Utilities Commission’s laws movers cannot be held responsible for valuables such as money, jewelry, important documents, and any other unique items that are often irreplaceable. Make arrangements to transport these in a safe manner you are comfortable with.
